Folkestone College Students visit our Leas Pavilion Project
Last week, a group of construction students from Folkestone College visited our Leas Pavilion project. Our team welcomed the opportunity to show off our progress on the development and chat with the students about their future careers in construction. It was great to see such enthusiasm for the industry, and we're excited to see more talented young people enter the field in upcoming years!
Heather Williams, Industry Liaison Officer - Built Environment had this to say of the visit: “A heartfelt thank you from the Built Environment staff and T Level students at Folkestone College for hosting us for this afternoon’s site visit”.
It is such an important part of our students’ learning journey to see up close the reality of what they’re studying in College and they all enjoyed learning more about the Leas Pavilion development (as did the staff!).
Thank you to Larence Mckenzie & Ahmet Ozdemir alongside Ali Atakan of Ant Yapi UK for presenting in such an interactive way, gaining their interest. They may not always show their enthusiasm at the time, however they have discussed the visit in the workshop when they got back and that they were asking lots of questions and are excited to watch the project evolve!
You supporting us with a regular commitment to enhancing and expanding the development of the students means such a lot to them and us as a college.
Head of Health, Safety and Environment Lawrence McKenzie had this to say: We look forward to displaying regular updates of our relationship with the College, their students and to their future visits at the Leas Pavilion Project.
